Why? There are a TON of reasons to get a website up and running for your child care facility.
Advertising. The most obvious reason. Everyone looks on the web now – for flights, hotels, restaurants, tv repair, child care – you name it! Websites are inexpensive in the world of advertising and marketing. For a small initial investment and nominal on-going expense, you can have a piece of advertising working for you at all times. The amount of exposure and promotion is fantastic. This also applies to social networking platforms like Facebook – which is FREE!
Information. Having a website allows prospective parents to get their questions answered immediately, which is great for a few reasons. They can get info after hours, can peruse on their own time, and can ensure that their questions get answered. You don’t have to worry about pulling employees away from their work to answer simple FAQs or risk missing a phone call that could have been a new enrollment.
Referral-Friendly. Having a website makes it easy for parents to refer their friends and family. Referrals can learn about your center – anything from your location, to your mission, to getting to know your staff – and follow up on recommendations.
Image. Having a website makes your center look very polished, professional and legitimate. You are a business and a service-provider. People like to know you are there to stay and are keeping up with or surpassing your competition. This applies not only to prospective and current parents, but also potential employees.
Many centers have websites now. So if you have one you’re either keeping up with those who do or standing out against those who don’t. Either way, having a website ensures you’re never getting left behind.
