Keeping Parents and Kids Happy Saves Time and Money

While advertising and marketing and getting new enrollment if important, it’s also very important to keep your current parents and children happy.

Getting new enrollment isn’t always easy and isn’t always cheap. But keeping current enrollment can be.

A little effort can go a long way. Greeting parents and children with a smile at pick-up an drop-off is a great way to start the day and end the day. If you know a parent or child and can greet them by name, even better!

Keeping in touch with parents is a perfect way to make them feel comfortable with where there children are spending their days. Consider a newsletter, Facebook page, or Photos page on your website to keep parents updated on events and seeing their children learning and enjoying their time.

Offer a referral fee or discount to current parents. People appreciate and respect recommendations from their friends and family and put more weight in that type of advertising versus an ad. Plus, it’s free! If they don’t get a referral, it doesn’t cost you a dime.

Survey current parents periodically to find out where you are succeeding and where you may be falling a little short. Ask for ideas or recommendations to better your center or parent / child experience. It can pay off in a big way!

It’s much easier to keep a child / family enrolled then go searching for a new client, so make sure to show a little love – and keep enrollment steady and hopefully get a few referrals in the process.
